What's on in Leeds Summer 2018

Love it or loathe it the school summer holidays are here! 6 weeks of juggling childcare and keeping children entertained. To help take a load off here are some things available to do over the summer holidays in and around Leeds with the kids.

23rd July - 31st August (weekdays only) - The Science of Frankenstein at Thackray Medical Museum

200 years since the publication of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, we are delving into the science of the novel to explore the links between electricity and the body, and discovering just how vital electricity is to human life.

We won’t be stitching body parts together (no need to worry), but we do have lots to take part in!

  • Play a game of Giant “Frankenstein” Operation
  • Have a go at stop motion animation
  • Take part in an electronics workshop.

You’ve got one last chance to see Walking With Dinosaurs in the summer of 2018. The arena spectacular has wowed over 9 million people across 250 countries over the past decade. You can watch them walk, hear them roar and see how they fought for survival with incredible cinematic realism. It’s an incredible live experience for the whole family, so get in there before they go extinct – again.
